February 2019 update

The Anguilla Red Cross has begun its community transport service in 2009, with members of the Island Harbor and East End communities, making regular visits to the Welches Polyclinic every other Monday. Since then, our transport service grew to other areas and members of the Anguilla community. Our beneficiary list grew to the point where needed volunteers were no longer available to meet the demand. With the increase in demand the ARC took on massive fundraising venture to purchase a larger, modern wheelchair bus. After acquiring the new wheelchair bus the ARC expanded its services to offer school transport assistance to the DOVE center west end.

Like everyone in Anguilla, the Red Cross suffered the consequences of Irma, with important damages, including the bus for the transport services. As of January 31 2019 the Anguilla Red Cross will put in standby its community and School transport service. The ARC continues support the Anguilla Community in many other ways such as Disaster preparedness and response, resilience, First Aid, Water Safety,  Health fairs, Thrift shop services, and much more. We are thankful for the support we have received over the years and we are looking forward for your continued involvement. We keep our strong commitment to Anguilla population and communities, in normal times and in crisis.
